The Anderson Raptors and Turpin Spartans meet Friday, Oct. 2, at Charles L. Brown Stadium in a Forest Hills district rivalry game with Eastern Cincinnati Conference (ECC) implications.
Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
Anderson (5-1, 5-0 ECC) carries a five-game winning streak and a No. 2 ranking in the Cincinnati Enquirer's Week 7 power rankings. The Raptors have scored 49 or more points in five straight games, winning their ECC contests by an average of 37.4 points.
Turpin (3-3, 3-2 ECC) has won two straight after opening the season 1-3. The Spartans rolled up more than 550 yards of offense in a 55-19 win over West Clermont on Sept. 25.
Anderson quarterback Owen Scalf threw for 435 yards against Milford in the Raptors' Sept. 25 win, going 26-of-30 with five touchdowns. Receiver Jordan Davis hauled in eight catches for 177 yards and a touchdown while adding two rushing scores. Senior cornerback and wide receiver Ace Alston, a four-star Notre Dame verbal commit ranked Ohio's No. 4 overall player in the 2027 class, gives Anderson a weapon on both sides of the ball, according to WCPO.
On the Turpin side, junior wide receiver Callan Polland caught five passes for 169 yards against West Clermont, accounting for all four of the Spartans' passing touchdowns.
Anderson head coach Evan Dreyer set the tone for the season in a July interview with WCPO: "We've got a bunch of depth, a bunch of experience and a lot of seniors that want to get back and know what we have to do to get back."
The Raptors reached the Division II state championship game in 2024, falling 20-13 to Avon, and have carried that motivation into a 5-1 start in 2026. Anderson has outscored opponents 293-152 through six games. Turpin has posted 181 points against 162 allowed.
The Spartans opened the season with losses to Archbishop McNicholas (31-10) and Little Miami (27-24) before beating Walnut Hills 43-19. A 45-7 loss to Winton Woods on Sept. 11 dropped Turpin to 1-3, but back-to-back wins over Loveland (42-21) and West Clermont have the Spartans riding a two-game streak into the rivalry game.
Anderson's lone loss came in the season opener, a 59-13 defeat to Louisville Trinity on Aug. 21. The Raptors have won five straight since, outscoring opponents 280-93 in that stretch.
After Friday's game, Turpin hosts Lebanon on Oct. 9 and travels to Kings on Oct. 16. Anderson heads to Walnut Hills on Oct. 9 and hosts Winton Woods on Oct. 16.
