The Anderson Park District released the full food and drink vendor lineup for its free Oktoberfest at Beech Acres Park on Saturday, Sept. 5.
Schmidt's Sausage Truck, Craft Burger Bros., LaRosa's Pizzeria, MamaBear's Mac, and Festival Concessions will handle the food. Wandering Monsters Brewing and Snowie Cincinnati round out the drinks. Servatii is also on the vendor list.
The park district posted the lineup on X on Wednesday, Sept. 2, three days before gates open.
Oktoberfest runs from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and is free to attend. The event page lists live music, craft beer, wiener dog races and German-style games, though the park district has not named performers.
Eight vendors is a full card for the event, now in its second year. The first Oktoberfest was held Sept. 6, 2025, at the same Beech Acres Park location with the same 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. schedule.
The event replaced the former Anderson Day celebration. Trustee Chair Dee Stone noted at a Jan. 22 board of trustees meeting that Anderson Day had been getting smaller each year. "The Park District's new event, Oktoberfest, is going to continue," Stone said, adding that the decision was the park district's to make, not the township's.
Trustee Tom Hodges said at the same meeting that he had heard concerns about the end of Anderson Day. He said he would work to make sure opportunities to build community are available year-round.
