The Mariemont Warriors boys soccer team heads to Madeira High School on Tuesday, Sept. 1, for a Cincinnati Hills League matchup.

Mariemont athletics director Tom Nerl announced the road trip on X, listing game times at 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. The official Warriors schedule lists a single 7 p.m. start. The program has not clarified the format for the two listed times.

It will be a busy night for Mariemont-Madeira athletics. The Warriors girls soccer team hosts Madeira at home the same evening, with games at 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., according to a separate post from Nerl.

The boys squad enters the Madeira game looking to rebound. Mariemont fell to Archbishop McNicholas 1-2 on Saturday, Aug. 29. Nerl posted the result that evening, noting the girls varsity beat McNicholas 2-1 on the same day.

The early stretch of the 2026 season has had bright spots. Senior Santino Serger scored three goals in a 5-2 win over Grandview Heights and added another in a 3-0 shutout of Seven Hills. His production earned him a nomination for the Cincinnati Enquirer's small-school boys soccer player of the week for the period through Aug. 23.

Whether Serger and the Warriors can carry that early-season form into league play starts with Tuesday's test at Madeira.

The Sept. 1 game is the first of three contests in eight days for Mariemont. The Warriors return home to Kusel Stadium on Saturday, Sept. 5, at 2:45 p.m. to face Cincinnati Christian School. They host Taylor High School in another CHL game on Tuesday, Sept. 8, at 7 p.m.
