The Mariemont Warriors open Cincinnati Hills League play Friday, Sept. 11, when they host the Taylor Yellowjackets at Kusel Stadium with a 7 p.m. kickoff.

Youth football and cheer participants will be introduced at 6:20 p.m., and a 9/11 remembrance presentation is scheduled for 6:45 p.m., according to the Mariemont athletics account on X. Details about the ceremony's format have not been released.

Mariemont enters at 2-1 after winning its first two games and losing on the road. Head coach Nick Leone's squad shut out Clermont Northeastern 33-0 in the Aug. 21 opener, then rolled past Norwood 49-6 in the Aug. 28 Hall of Fame Game at Kusel Stadium. The Warriors fell 27-14 at Williamsburg on Friday, Sept. 4, according to CBS News score results.

Defensive back Chase Raber returned an interception 55 yards for a touchdown in the shutout of Clermont Northeastern, earning a nomination for the Cincinnati Enquirer's athlete of the week.

The Warriors are building on a 2025 campaign that ended in the Division V, Region 20 semifinal round. They lost five first-team all-league players from that squad, including quarterback Zach Maier, according to the Clermont Sun's preseason preview.

Taylor arrives at 1-2. The Yellowjackets lost their opener to Talawanda 33-6 on Aug. 21, then shut out Batavia 27-0 on Aug. 28 before falling to Lawrenceburg 48-14 on Friday, Sept. 4, according to MaxPreps and Sports Illustrated score reports.

Friday's contest appears to be the CHL opener for both teams, based on the Mariemont athletics schedule. Their earlier games were non-conference matchups.

Mariemont's next home game is Friday, Sept. 18, at 7 p.m. against Indian Hill at Kusel Stadium.
