Mariemont's junior varsity football team scored a go-ahead touchdown in the fourth quarter to beat Wyoming 18-14 on Saturday, Sept. 26, at Kusel Stadium.

The Warriors trailed 14-12 entering the final period after Wyoming built its lead with seven points in each of the first two quarters. Mariemont answered with six in the first and six in the second before punching in the winning score in the fourth.

Wyoming's JV squad entered the game unbeaten at 5-0, making the comeback win Mariemont's biggest result of the young season. The Cincinnati Hills League loss dropped the Cowboys to 5-1, according to MaxPreps.

The win improved Mariemont's JV record to 2-1.

Mariemont Athletic Director Tom Nerl posted the result on X shortly after the Saturday morning kickoff.

The JV victory provided a bright spot on a difficult day for the Warriors program. Mariemont's varsity fell to Wyoming 45-10 in the evening game, according to the school's Instagram account.

Through three games, Mariemont's JV season has been a tale of two halves. The Warriors opened with a 13-6 win over Clermont Northeastern on Aug. 22, lost 6-0 to Taylor on Sept. 10 and now own two wins in three outings after Saturday's fourth-quarter rally. The shutout loss to Taylor remains the only game in which the Warriors failed to reach the end zone.

Saturday's game kicked off at 10 a.m. at Kusel Stadium, the Warriors' home field at Mariemont High School. The official schedule shows the Warriors travel to Deer Park for their next CHL matchup at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 3.
