Mariemont girls volleyball opens Cincinnati Hills League play at home Tuesday, Sept. 1, with a doubleheader against Madeira at Mariemont High School.
The varsity match is set for 6:30 p.m., according to the Mariemont Warriors athletics schedule. Tom Nerl, the Warriors' certified master athletic administrator, announced on X that a second contest tips off at 5:30 p.m. The school's schedule page lists only the 6:30 p.m. varsity start; the earlier game was not labeled separately.
The matchup marks Mariemont's first CHL conference game of the 2026 season. MaxPreps lists it as an away conference match for the Madeira Mustangs. League play carries postseason seeding implications, making the home opener a meaningful early test for both squads.
The Warriors enter the Madeira matchup with four games played. Mariemont opened at home against Blanchester on Aug. 20, traveled to Bethel-Tate on Aug. 22 and Deer Park on Aug. 25, and competed in a tournament at New Richmond on Aug. 29. Win-loss records were not posted on the team's schedule page as of Sept. 1.
Head coach Katie Davis leads the varsity squad, with Jeff Davis as varsity assistant and Liv Ferry coaching JV. The program's most recent published roster lists 12 players, including seniors Gigi Andrus at outside hitter, Samantha Gaughan, Audrey Gaughan and Abby Conners at defensive specialist, along with juniors Caroline Klekar at outside hitter and Elle Seichter at setter.
Tuesday's doubleheader kicks off a busy September stretch. Mariemont travels to Taylor on Tuesday, Sept. 8, at 6:30 p.m. and to Wyoming on Thursday, Sept. 10, at 6:30 p.m.
The Warriors then visit The Seven Hills School on Monday, Sept. 14, at 6 p.m. before returning home to face Indian Hill on Tuesday, Sept. 15, and Finneytown on Wednesday, Sept. 16, both at 6:30 p.m.
The two CHL rivals meet again Thursday, Oct. 1, at 6:30 p.m. at Madeira.
