EF1 tornado confirmed in Clermont County, just east of Anderson Township

An EF1 tornado touched down in Clermont County on Tuesday, just east of Anderson Township's border, the National Weather Service confirmed according to WCPO. No injuries have been reported. No damage has been confirmed within Anderson Township, Mariemont, Terrace Park or Newtown.

The tornado started near Amelia around 2:50 p.m. and ended in New Richmond around 2:57 p.m., covering the distance in about seven minutes, according to the NWS. The storm was part of a broader severe weather system the NWS Wilmington office documented as "Severe Weather, Tornadoes & Flooding" spanning Monday through Tuesday.

Damage reports

The first damage was found at Pierce Reserve & Trails on Pond Run Road, where trees were knocked down. A home on Mott Road sustained roof damage.

Tree limbs were also knocked down along New Richmond Nicholsville Road, and a home near Ohio 132 and Wildfire Way reported damage, according to the NWS as reported by WCPO reporter Grace Erwin.

No confirmed local impact

Anderson Township shares a border with Clermont County to the east. While the storm system moved through the greater Cincinnati area, no reports of tornado damage have surfaced in Hamilton County communities covered by this outlet.

Anderson Township's emergency preparedness guidance advises residents to be self-sufficient for at least three days after a major weather event, noting that emergency services may be limited in how many people they can reach promptly.
