Mariemont's boys soccer team shut out Covington Catholic 1-0 on Thursday, Oct. 8, at Kusel Stadium, pushing the Warriors' winning streak to four games.

The non-conference victory came against a Colonels program ranked No. 18 in Kentucky by MaxPreps. Covington Catholic, based in Park Hills, Kentucky, carried a 6-5-7 record and a two-game losing streak into the match, according to the MaxPreps schedule page.

No goal scorer or individual statistics were available as of Friday, Oct. 9.

The 1-0 result capped a dominant stretch for the Warriors. Mariemont routed Reading 9-0 on Oct. 6 and beat Deer Park 9-0 on Sept. 29 before the tight win over CovCath. The Warriors' three losses this season came against Archbishop McNicholas (2-1), Kings (3-1) and Wyoming (3-0).

That run has Mariemont sitting at a likely 8-3-2 through 13 games, though the official schedule page had not yet updated with the CovCath result as of Friday morning. The Warriors won the OHSAA district championship in October 2025.

Tom Nerl posted the result on X Thursday night.

Mariemont travels to Dayton Christian on Saturday, Oct. 10, for a 3 p.m. kickoff. The Warriors return to Kusel Stadium on Thursday, Oct. 15, to host Finneytown at 7 p.m. in a Cincinnati Hills League matchup, followed by a home game against Miami Valley Christian Academy on Saturday, Oct. 17, at 1 p.m.
