Mariemont's girls golf team beat Taylor 190-205 in a Cincinnati Hills League match Wednesday, Aug. 26, at Little Miami Golf Course.

Katelyn Finke and Shay Quinn led the Lady Warriors with matching rounds of 46. Tess Adam was one stroke behind at 47. Sawyer Stickley carded a 51, and Kailey Coffee rounded out the scoring with a 59.

The 15-stroke margin gave head coach Meredith Ducey's squad a comfortable CHL victory over the Yellowjackets.

Tom Nerl, CMAA, announced the result in a post on X on Thursday, Aug. 27, praising the team's collective performance:

@mmontad: "A great team effort: Katelyn Finke 46, Shay Quinn 46, Tess Adam 47, Sawyer Stickley 51 and Kailey Coffee 59."

All five Mariemont golfers broke 60 on the day, with the top three separated by a single stroke. Finke and Quinn shared medalist honors for the match, while Adam's 47 provided a reliable third score that kept the team total well clear of Taylor's 205.

The win comes two days after the Lady Warriors fell to Mt. Notre Dame on Aug. 24 in their earlier CHL action. The result against Taylor gives Mariemont a split in its opening week of conference play.

Mariemont returns to the course Monday, Aug. 31, for a CHL Tri-Match at Camargo Golf Course. Tee time is 4 p.m.

The schedule ramps up in September. The CHL Championship is set for Sept. 9 at Reeves Golf Course, followed by the OHSAA Sectional Tournament at the same venue on Sept. 17 and the OHSAA District Tournament at Heatherwood Golf Course on Sept. 30.
