Mariemont's girls soccer team carries a three-game winning streak into Monday, Sept. 28, when the Warriors open homecoming week against Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy at Kusel Stadium.

The JV squad kicks off at 5 p.m., with the varsity match set for 7 p.m., according to the Mariemont athletics schedule.

The Warriors stand at 7-1-2 overall and 2-0-2 in Cincinnati Hills League play. Their only loss came 4-0 at Ross on Aug. 14. Head coach Mike Haney's squad has not lost since.

Mariemont holds a 4-0-1 record at Kusel Stadium this season. The Warriors posted three consecutive shutouts heading into the CHCA match: a 3-0 win over Roger Bacon on Sept. 19, a 1-0 CHL victory over Wyoming on Sept. 23 and a 1-0 win at Badin on Saturday, Sept. 26.

The two CHL draws came earlier in the month. Mariemont tied Taylor 2-2 on Sept. 9 and drew 1-1 with Indian Hill on Sept. 16. Both results came on the road in league play, leaving the Warriors unbeaten in conference action.

Senior Addy Zawaly scored in the Roger Bacon win. She is one of 10 seniors on the varsity roster, a group that includes Elizabeth Curran, Ella Garrison, MJ Stevens, Alyssa Dewey, Emme Padjen, Jenna VanScoy, Camdyn Bogle, Meryck Bogle and Hannah Iwanicki.

The underclass roster adds depth. Juniors Cecily Kessler, Dylan Carpenter, Danielle Devoto and Marisa Murphy join sophomores Mia Demain, Anna Organisciak, Regan Barclay and Maya Shteiwi, along with freshmen Claire Young and Claire Sullivan.

CHCA has posted low-scoring results this season. Eagles senior Grace Bishop scored the lone goal in a 1-0 win over Roger Bacon, a performance that earned her a spot on the Cincinnati Enquirer's athlete-of-the-week ballot. The Eagles also beat Taylor 1-0 on Sept. 5, according to MaxPreps.

Mariemont athletics director Tom Nerl urged fans on X to come out and support the Warriors as they kick off homecoming week. Michael Hanley serves as assistant coach and Eddie Marquez coaches goalkeepers.

Andrew Fields coaches the JV squad, which holds a 1-0 record heading into the doubleheader.

After Monday's games, the Warriors travel to Deer Park for a CHL contest on Wednesday, Sept. 30, at 7 p.m. The schedule then takes them to Reading on Oct. 7, Oakwood on Oct. 10 and Finneytown on Oct. 14.
