The Mariemont Warriors hit the ice Wednesday, Aug. 26, at Deer Park High School to open their CHL hockey season against the Wildcats in a doubleheader starting at 5:30 p.m.

A second game follows at 6:30 p.m.

Mariemont athletic director Tom Nerl, CMAA, announced the road opener on X on Tuesday, Aug. 25, wishing the team good luck ahead of the first competitive hockey action of the 2026-27 campaign.

The doubleheader pits two familiar CHL rivals against each other. Deer Park and Mariemont have squared off in recent seasons across conference basketball, soccer and bowling, but Wednesday's matchup opens a new front in the rivalry on the ice.

Hockey operates outside the standard Ohio High School Athletic Association varsity framework at Mariemont. The program does not appear on the school's official athletics schedule pages at mariemontsports.com, consistent with Ohio high school hockey teams that run as club or cooperative programs rather than OHSAA-sanctioned varsity squads.
