Families moving into the Mariemont City School District this summer have less than three weeks to get oriented before the first day of school on Wednesday, August 19.
The district published its 2026-27 New Families Guide on Thursday, a digital resource hosted on Issuu aimed at walking newcomers through enrollment, school operations and district services across all four buildings: Mariemont High School, Mariemont Junior High School, Mariemont Elementary School and Terrace Park Elementary School.
How to enroll
New families start by completing a registration form through the PowerSchool Parent Portal at mariemontschools.powerschool.com. Registration isn't final until both the online forms and required documentation are submitted.
Documents can be uploaded through the portal, emailed to [email protected], or dropped off at the Central Office at 2 Warrior Way, Cincinnati, OH 45227. Emma Meinking handles central registration and can be reached at 513-272-7501.

Kindergarten cutoff change
A new state law affects incoming kindergartners this year. Under Ohio House Bill 114, children must turn five on or before Monday, August 24, to enroll for 2026-27. The early admittance request window for children turning five between August 25 and September 30 closed June 30.
Only children who completed at least one year of preschool were eligible for early admittance.
Special education and support services
Families with concerns about a child's disability can contact Special Education Supervisor Linda Lee at 513-272-7517. The district's Child Find policy requires identification and evaluation of all children under 22 residing in the district who may need special education services.
The district also offers mental health support through its Warriors BEwell initiative, which provides school counselors and mental health therapists.
District at a glance
Mariemont City Schools serves more than 1,700 students across Mariemont and Terrace Park. It earned an overall 5-star rating on the 2023-24 Ohio State Report Card and ranked first in Hamilton County for academic achievement based on 2024 state test results.

The next Board of Education meeting is Monday, August 10, at 8:00 a.m. in Room 128 at Mariemont High School. The first day of school for all four buildings is Wednesday, August 19.
