Mariemont's girls volleyball team returns home Tuesday, Sept. 15, to face rival Indian Hill at Mariemont High School in a doubleheader with conference implications.

Junior varsity takes the court at 5:30 p.m., with varsity to follow at 7:30 p.m., according to Mariemont's Tom Nerl on X. The official schedule page lists a 6:30 p.m. start for the same date. Fans should plan to arrive by 5:30 to catch both matches.

The matchup carries extra weight after last season's breakthrough. On Aug. 28, 2025, Mariemont traveled to Indian Hill and swept the Braves in three sets (27-25, 25-20, 25-21), snapping a 23-game losing streak in the series. The JV squad fell to the Braves in three close sets that same night.

After the road sweep, Nerl posted on the school's athletics site: "The Warrior Varsity VB win over IH tonite snaps a 23 game losing streak to the Braves. Congratulations to the Warrior athletes and coaches!"

Tuesday's contest marks the teams' first meeting since that streak-ending result.

@mmontad: "Volleyball is back in the friendly confines of MHS for Indian Hill tonight at 530 and 730pm. Come on out!"

Head coach Katie Davis leads a 12-player varsity roster featuring four seniors: outside hitter Gigi Andrus, and defensive specialists Samantha Gaughan, Audrey Gaughan and Abby Conners. Juniors Caroline Klekar, Kendall Barclay, Elle Seichter, Olivia Hoel and Sydney McCann round out the upper-class core. Jeff Davis serves as varsity assistant, and Liv Ferry coaches the JV squad.

The Warriors traveled to Wyoming on Saturday, Sept. 12, before returning home for this week's stretch. Tuesday's Indian Hill match will air on the Warrior Broadcasting Network.

Mariemont has two more home matches in the next week: Finneytown visits Wednesday, Sept. 16, at 6:30 p.m., followed by Wyoming on Tuesday, Sept. 22, at 6:30 p.m.
