The Mariemont Warriors open their 2026 football season Friday, Aug. 21, at CNE Rockets Stadium in Batavia, taking on the Clermont Northeastern Rockets in a non-conference road test. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
Head coach Nick Leone's squad went 8-5 in 2025, finishing 4-3 in the Cincinnati Hills League before falling in the Division V regional semifinals. The Warriors handled the Rockets convincingly in last year's opener, winning 30-6 at Kusel Stadium on Aug. 22, 2025, according to MaxPreps.
Mariemont athletic director Tom Nerl said on X on Aug. 21 that the team was heading out for its road opener, writing, "Good luck and Go Warriors!"
The Warriors began fall practices Aug. 1 and tuned up with preseason scrimmages at Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy on Aug. 6 and at New Richmond on Aug. 13. The 2026 roster includes juniors Carson Quiambao, Owen Dunning, RJ Naticchioni, Brady Colacarro, Mitch Barr and Zach Murray among the returning players.
Friday's game is the first of three non-conference contests before CHL play opens Sept. 11 against Taylor. According to the official schedule, the Warriors host Norwood for the Hall of Fame Game on Aug. 28, then travel to Williamsburg on Sept. 4.
The full CHL slate includes home dates against Indian Hill (Sept. 18), Deer Park (Oct. 2, Homecoming) and Madeira (Oct. 23, Senior Night), plus road trips to Wyoming (Sept. 25), Reading (Oct. 9) and Finneytown (Oct. 16).
The Warriors' next game is the Hall of Fame Game against Norwood at 7 p.m. Aug. 28.
