Terrace Park police arrested a 30-year-old mother after her 4-year-old son was found crying alone in a driveway on the 600 block of Wooster Pike on Aug. 31.

Sadie Baker faces charges of endangering children and illegal use of drug paraphernalia, according to an affidavit Terrace Park police filed in Hamilton County Municipal Court, as FOX19 reported. Baker is being held at the Hamilton County Justice Center.

The home sits along Wooster Pike, also known as U.S. 50, a main east-west route through eastern Hamilton County.

A responding officer found the boy unattended in the driveway. When asked where his mother was, the child led the officer around to the back of the house, where a side door stood open, according to the affidavit.

Inside, the officer found Baker unresponsive on the kitchen floor. A used needle, a burnt spoon and other drug paraphernalia were on the floor beside her, WKRC reported. The officer administered Narcan.

Baker revived.

The affidavit alleges Baker created a substantial risk to the safety of her 4-year-old child. The specific drug suspected has not been identified in court filings. Only the paraphernalia found at the scene is described.

Court records also state Baker is not permitted unsupervised custody of the boy because of an active case with Child Protective Services. The filing does not name which county agency holds that case.

Baker is scheduled to make her first court appearance at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 9. No outcome from that hearing was available as of publication.

Baker's relationship to the Wooster Pike address is not stated in the court filing.
