Saturday, July 26

Skies turn partly cloudy with temperatures climbing into the upper 80s. A slight chance of a stray shower remains, but conditions should stay mostly dry. UV levels are expected to reach the Very High range, so sunscreen is worth packing.

Out and about: The Anderson Township Farmers' Market opens at 9 a.m. in the west parking lot of St. Timothy's Episcopal Church, 8101 Beechmont Ave., and runs until noon. The market operates every Saturday through early October.

Note for drivers: Intersection and sidewalk improvements at Clough Pike and Newtown Road are underway this summer, according to the Clough Pike Corridor Study. Drivers approaching Beech Acres Park from the Newtown or Mount Washington side may encounter delays. Salem Road is the recommended alternate route.
