The Cheesecakery has closed its Beechmont Avenue storefront in Anderson Township after 10 months.

Founder Liz Field announced the closure on social media Monday, Sept. 21, the Cincinnati Business Courier first reported. The bakery at 8144 Beechmont Ave. in the Anderson Station shopping center was Field's last remaining storefront. She closed her Madisonville flagship in December 2025.

Field did not give a specific reason for shutting down the Anderson Township location. She said the decision was the right one for her and the next chapter of the business, according to the Courier's reporting.

The bakery is not gone entirely. Field plans to keep taking orders and operating from a private production kitchen in Madisonville, the Courier reported. The Cheesecakery was known for more than 200 cheesecake flavors along with cupcake flights, lattes and breakfast items.

A post in the Cincinnati Foodies Facebook group urged community members to continue supporting the business through its private kitchen catering and pickup orders.

The Beechmont Avenue shop held its grand opening on Friday, Jan. 24, 2025. Field had spent close to two years searching for the right expansion space before landing on the Anderson Station location, according to a December 2024 announcement from OnSite Retail Group. When Field first saw the space, she said she knew it was meant to be, the Courier reported at the time.

Josh Rothstein, vice president of sales and leasing at OnSite Retail Group, brokered the lease. He described the deal in December 2024 as expanding Field's "small presence in Madisonville to playing in the big leagues on Beechmont," calling it an example of helping local small businesses grow.

Field, a Midwest Culinary Institute graduate with more than 15 years in the food and beverage industry, had built the Cheesecakery from a single Madisonville shop into a brand with a loyal following. The Anderson Township expansion was meant to bring that following to one of the east side's busiest retail corridors.

Ten months later, the storefront is dark. Customers can still place orders through The Cheesecakery's private kitchen in Madisonville.
