Mariemont girls soccer takes the field Thursday, Oct. 29, at Beavercreek High School for the OHSAA Division III district championship against Springfield Greenon.
Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. at Frank Zink Field, according to the Mariemont athletics schedule. The Warriors carry a 15-1-2 overall record and a 10-game winning streak into the matchup.
The district title game caps a dominant postseason run. Mariemont beat Cincinnati Christian 8-0 in the district quarterfinal Oct. 22 at Kusel Stadium, then routed Clinton-Massie 10-0 in the semifinal Oct. 26. The Warriors have outscored their two tournament opponents 18-0.
That postseason surge extends a streak that began after a 1-1 tie against Indian Hill on Sept. 16. Mariemont won its final eight regular-season games before the tournament, outscoring opponents in Cincinnati Hills League (CHL) play and non-conference matchups alike. The Warriors went 5-0-2 in CHL play this season.
Greenon, seeded ninth in the bracket, is the last team standing between Mariemont and a district championship. Details on Greenon's season record and path through the bracket were not available at publication.
Tom Nerl, Mariemont's certified master athletic administrator, posted on X ahead of the game: "Girls Soccer travels to Beavercreek High School tonight to battle Greenon for the district crown at 7pm!"
Only one regular-season loss marks the Warriors' 2026 ledger. That came Aug. 14 at Ross, a 4-0 defeat in the season opener. Mariemont has not lost since.
The Warriors' lone regular-season home blemishes were draws against Taylor (2-2 on Sept. 9) and Indian Hill (1-1 on Sept. 16). Both are CHL opponents. Since that Indian Hill tie, Mariemont has been perfect.
A win Thursday would send the Warriors to the regional round of the OHSAA tournament. We will publish a full recap once the final result is confirmed.
