Mariemont Junior High boys soccer beat Seven Hills 2-1 on Tuesday, Sept. 22, at Kusel Stadium, pushing the team's winning streak to five games.

The victory improved coach Dave Hartman's squad to 5-1 overall and 3-0 in conference play. The streak is now five. Mariemont Athletic Director Tom Nerl announced the result on X shortly after the final whistle.

The only loss this season came in the Aug. 17 opener, a 4-1 defeat at Sycamore. Since then, Hartman's group of 10 seventh-graders and 12 eighth-graders has not lost, with wins over Taylor, New Richmond, Reading, Taylor again, Greendale and now Seven Hills.

It was a strong night for Mariemont soccer at Kusel Stadium. The MJHS girls team followed with a 5-0 shutout of Seven Hills in a Breast Cancer Awareness game. Nerl thanked head coach Regan Meyer and the volunteers who organized the event. The girls entered the game at 4-1 overall and 3-0 in conference play.

Both teams travel to The Summit Country Day School on Thursday, Sept. 24. The girls start at 4:30 p.m., and the boys follow at 5:30 p.m.
