Mariemont's unbeaten girls tennis team hosts Oakwood in an OTCA Regional Semifinal on Wednesday, Sept. 23. The match is set for 4:30 p.m. at the Mariemont Courts.

The Warriors entered the match with a 14-0 record on the official Mariemont Athletics schedule, though athletic director Tom Nerl announced on X on Sept. 16 that the team had reached 16-0 after clinching the Cincinnati Hills League title with a 5-0 win over Madeira. The schedule page may not reflect all completed matches.

However the count lands, the Warriors have not lost this fall.

Head coach Doug Spreen's roster features five seniors driving the run. First-singles player Lucy Hanser beat Summit Country Day 6-1, 6-1, according to a Sept. 15 feature on the Mariemont Athletics site. Senior Katie Tully won key matches against Summit Country Day, Wyoming and Madeira to keep the streak alive, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer's athlete-of-the-week ballot for the week of Sept. 21.

The first-doubles pair of seniors Mia Eberlein and Molly Neville posted an 8-1 record and helped lock down the CHL crown, per the same Enquirer ballot. Senior Brooke Klinzman and juniors Natalia Candia, Ava Millering, Maeve O'Brien and Allie Tully round out the varsity squad.

Mariemont already proved it can win in the OTCA bracket. The Warriors beat Wyoming 4-1 in an OTCA State Team Match on Sept. 8 at Wyoming High School.

Nerl wished the team well on X before the Sept. 23 match, noting the Warriors would face Oakwood in the state team tournament at the Mariemont Courts. The OTCA tournament is separate from the OHSAA individual postseason, which begins with sectionals Sept. 28 through Oct. 3. Districts follow Oct. 6 through Oct. 11, with the state tournament set for Oct. 15 and Oct. 16.

A win Wednesday would keep the Warriors' perfect season intact heading into a Sept. 24 match at Mason High School, scheduled for 4 p.m.
