Turpin's boys soccer team won 1-0 at Princeton on Tuesday, Sept. 22, pushing the Spartans' unbeaten record to 8-0-3 on the season.

The lone goal came in the first half. Turpin carried that 1-0 lead into the break and held Princeton scoreless the rest of the way, according to score updates from the Turpin Spartans Athletics account on X.

@TurpinSpartans: "And the beat goes on!"

The phrase has become the program's tagline for each result in the season-long unbeaten streak.

The Spartans, who compete in the Eastern Cincinnati Conference, traveled to Princeton for the non-conference match. It was the second straight win for head coach Jamie Harloff's squad. Turpin beat Middletown 4-1 in a heat-shortened non-conference game on Saturday, Sept. 19, as we reported Sept. 20.

Turpin has not lost a match all season. Three draws are the only non-wins across an 11-game stretch that dates to the opener.

The Spartans entered the week at 7-0-3 after the Middletown result. The Princeton shutout added a win column entry without conceding a goal, a pattern that has defined Turpin's season. The team has allowed just one goal in its last two matches combined.

Turpin's attention now turns to a pivotal ECC match. The Spartans host conference-leading Little Miami on Thursday, Sept. 24, at 7 p.m. Little Miami sits atop the ECC standings, making the matchup one of the most consequential conference games on Turpin's schedule this fall.

The Thursday match also falls during a busy stretch for Turpin athletics. The football team's Homecoming game against West Clermont is set for Friday, Sept. 25, part of Turpin High School's 50th anniversary celebration.

No goal scorer for the Princeton match has been identified in available reports. Turpin's schedule beyond the Little Miami match has not been confirmed.
